This project tackled tiered pricing challenges for Headliner, an AI-based podcast clipping and promotion tool. The team conducted a competitive landscape analysis, benchmarked SaaS pricing tactics, and applied behavioral pricing theories such as anchoring, charm pricing, and incentive framing.
Recommendations included restructuring the freemium plan to create clearer upgrade incentives, adding a mid-tier “growth pack” plan, bundling popular features (e.g., transcription + auto captions), and introducing seasonal discounting and annual plan nudges to reduce churn.
